Nuno Encarnação, trained in hotel management and a member of the brotherhood of Algarve gourmets, quit his former life behind a desk to concentrate on this venture. His restaurant is situated between Guia and Praia da Galé and his principal objective is to promote regional wines of the Algarve – particularly less well-known labels, as long as they’re excellent. Instead of having a fixed house wine, there’s a new suggestion every month. The cuisine’s inspired by traditional Portuguese fare and makes use of organic produce.
