Find this lively, colourful bar/ restaurant on the left hand side of the main road running between Bensafrim and Aljezur. We recommend starting the (long) evening with, say, a Brazilian ‘Caipirinha’ cocktail – or a ‘Tequila Sunrise’ (€5 each). The main-course menu incudes savoury crêpes (between €6 and €8) and a selection of salads including a ‘carpaccio’ of mushrooms (€5 to €7). There’s also a wide choice of ‘tapas’, from €7 to €12, spaghetti or tagliatelli (€7 to €11), vegetarian lasagne (€12), and a variety of meat dishes from €10 to €22. The desserts are to die for: try apple and cinnamon tart (€3) or one of several sweet crêpes (€5/ €6). And if you’re lucky, there’ll be live music too… Drive home at your peril!
