Here’s a friendly, family restaurant in Aljezur that really welcomes children! «Com Alma Caffe», open for just a year, has a Mediterranean flavour. Inside, it’s light and airy. Diners can choose from either the meals chalked up on the huge central blackboard, or the menu they’ll find on the top of every table – while children can demonstrate their creativity with blackboard chalk! There are salads, pastas, pizzas, carpaccios, and even some typical Portuguese main-course meat dishes. Outside (at the back), there’s a wonderful 42-seat esplanade with a view of some lovely bougainvillea. The doors and interior are wheelchair-friendly too. We order a Tropical Salad (€8.50), consisting of different types of lettuce with a cocktail of tomatoes, peppers, sweetcorn and prawns. And the Pizza Margarita to follow was great (€6.80). Everything we sampled was prepared by an excellent cook.
