I’ve known the Dromedário since 1985. Sometimes, before going home, when I can’t take the freezing water of the beautiful west coast beaches anymore, I make for the Dromedário. There’s good music – and they serve great snacks, as well as cocktails, natural fruit juices and milk shakes. Next door, connected by an outdoor patio, there’s the Bossa Nova pizzeria. In the bar, sailors, surfers and others mingle, like me, for conversation. There’s something different offered here throughout the day. In the mornings, there’s an excellent breakfast with muesli, crepes and all sorts of sweet and savoury delights. At night, come back and there are movies. It’s a place I can safely recommend to anyone visiting the Algarve looking for a great bar to enjoy.
