Anyone who enjoys the whole “Amercian Wild West” imagery should definitely make time to come here for a drink and admire the décor.

This place has got it all! There’s a steam engine, pistols in the Sheriff’s holster, cowboy hats, Mexican mariachis, boots and tequilla. There’s even the inevitable bottle of Jack Daniels and photographs of famous Red Indians. Strangely, the place has already been open for five years, but seems better known by “outsiders” than the locals.

There may not be horses at the door, like in the real westerns, but more often than not you’ll see some fabulous Harley Davidsons – a make that has also inspired some of the decorations here, and which has put the place on the map for visiting bikers.

Happily, although you can smoke inside here, the air circulation is so good that you’re not troubled by smoke. So, what can you eat? We decided to ignore the dishes of the day, and look more closely at the menu. Well, it may not be food for the brave, but it certainly favours meat eaters, and prices start at €5 for regular steaks (pork or beef), and go up to €11.50, for knuckle of beef on the stone. They’re accessible, in other words.

For our visit, we couldn’t resist the “alheira” (garlic sausage, €9.50), with egg and an ice-cold beer. One nice feature we weren’t expecting was the choice of homemade desserts, including chocolate cake! Can you be a tough guy, and still have a sweet tooth? Stereotypes apart, the atmosphere here is chilled, and the service welcoming. Definitely worth stopping by!
