An inquiry involving 1.639 national families – the details of which will be published in DECO’s February edition of their magazine «Proteste» - concluded that “last year, six in every 10 families had difficulty keeping up with medical treatment due to financial problems”.

Among those spoken to, “almost half were obliged to put-off treatment, a fifth interrupted it, and others didn’t even consider taking it up, all due to the impossibility of being able to afford it”.

“DECO requests adequate answers from the SNS (National Health Service) and special attention from the State for the most vulnerable social groups – like families on low incomes, single parents, children and those with chronic diseases”.

Ich komme mit dem staatlichen Gesundheitsdienst gut zurecht. Das kostet nur ein paar EURO/Jahr.
