Expansion plans were first mooted in February 2011, but they required approval from the local municipality. Now conversions with the owner of the land, German company Commerz Real Investmentgesellschaft, are ongoing.
The plan, which will increase Forum to 175 shops and 55.000 square metres, represents an investment of 53 million euros, and should get underway during the second half of the year. The overall objective is to attract around 9 million visitors annually.
