Algarve Diocese invests in religious tourism
The Diocese of the Algarve will be presenting a team on 20 January, with the objective of “promoting what the region has to offer tourists when it comes to religion”.

Sandra Moreira, part of the new team, explains it will be launching a website to publicise traditional events, processions, religious holidays and itineraries – the sort that take place every year and have tourist potential.
Religious brochures will also be distributed throughout the Algarve’s main religious centres and parishes (Portimão, Loulé, Faro and Tavira); at Faro airport and via tour operators.
