New party for Left Bloc dissidents
A new political party will be emerging next year. The news comes from Gil Garcia, leader of the Portuguese section of the International Workers’ League «Ruptura/ FER».

No Comments »The new party will be made up of 200 militants who have left the Left Bloc “BE” party, due to their dissatisfaction with party leadership.
A congress is scheduled for 10th March 2012 with the objective of launching the party “open to the whole of the Left, independents, former BE members and new social movements, as well as all those that don’t agree with the official positions of other parties and institutionalised unions”.
Garcia added: “Between January and February we’ll be contacting everyone and distributing a manifesto”.
